I don"t think anything is set right. It runs extremely slow I constantly get errors, reboot, hangups and I installed a mcAfee program and I don't understand any of it. I also took it to best buy to get a tune up and a larger memory, they told me that the fan on the processor was unplugged and now it makes alot of noise and I think it is going to go out. They told me it wasn't worth fixing. Processor fans are usually inexpensive and easy to replace. You might
instead visit a local PC repair shop that has competent technicians, and
has been in business for many years. Best Buy's focus may be on selling a
new PC.

Upgrading of branded machines can be problematic, as some use proprietary
technologies or methods. A custom-built PC, using standardized parts -
may be a better choice for some folks. Worth investigating the next time.
