I’ve just been given a CD with the evaluation version of WEPOS by my boss,
he’s asked me to look into it as an alternative to XPE. I think I might be
missing the point a little bit here, could someone answer a few of my
questions, or maybe point me in the direction of some useful documentation.
Does WEPOS support EWF?
Does WEPOS have a target designer, or is it just installed via the CD?
How do I get to remote boot, do I have to use the existing XPE remote boot
system?
How do I get it to run on a compact flash disk, i.e. with the compact flash
read only?
I feel like I’m really missing the point of WEPOS, thanks for any help,
Rob

WEPOS isn't a substitute for XPE if you're using EEFs (embedded enabling
features) such as remote boot, ewf, etc. WEPOS has no target designer, it
is a simple install and brings in a ton of stuff (like XP Pro).

WEPOS is more appropriate for environments that may need a full blown XP
(similar to XP Pro) and is specifically targetting the POS market.

Ooops. I answered this from a customer site and forgot to change the
account info temporarily...
