Welcome Screen

hi,
i am running Windows XP Home and have had this problem
for ages and just cannot fix it. Instead of having the
Welcome Screen i just get the classic logon screen where
you type your user name and password in. but the problem
is that the 'Use the welcome screen' box is checked and
it still uses the classic logon screen. i emailed
Microsoft help and they have not replied since i sent the
email in December 2003!! does anyone know how to fix
this? is it a common problem?

It looks like we need to call support for help, but maybe
some MCSE will respond to us with help. =)
