Hi All,

Is there a way to stop seeing the welcome screen? I am the only one that
uses the computer and don't need it.

Thanks in advance,
Alice

Box in the bottom left has a tick box - untick it to make sure it doesn't
load on start up.

I'm the only one that uses my PC, but always have the welcome screen and a
password on anyway. If someone was to switch on your PC, they could access
anything on it without the Logon screen being active.

Just my opinion.

According to Help and Support, the welcome screen cannot be turned off.

Which is funny because in my virtual machine it boots straight to my
desktop. Do you have a password on the account?

You can set it to automatically log on as a specific user.
In User Accounts untick the "Users must enter a username and password..."
box and you are prompted for the default user

Good luck

Nope no password. And I can't find where to User Accounts untick the "Users
must enter a username and password..." I looked in User Accounts but there
isn't anything like that there...!!!

Thanks,
Alice

Press "Windows logo key"+R together, type in "control userpasswords2"
without quotes and press Enter.

Checkbox is on the Users tab.
