Hi,
First I apologize for my subject, I couldn't think of a
good name. Anyway I am the only one who uses this
computer so I only have one account (Owner). Since my
computer is 6 days old yesturday I didn't a lot of
updating with windows update. Now instead of XP just
logging me into my account, it prompts me for which
account to open when mine is the only one there. By the
way I don't have a password. I went to User Accounts and
saw a new user called, "ASP.NET Machine A...". I am
assuming .NET Framework 1.1 installed this. That account
doesn't show up on the welcome screen. What I am
wondering is am I able to make XP go directly to my
account without deleting ASP.NET Machine A...?

Thanks

Hi Bob,

That account is the result of installing the .net framework, you can leave
it or delete it. To setup an autologon, follow these steps:

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.

Thanks a lot Rick. If you have the time, can you please
explain what that user account that .Net Framework
installs provides?
