Welcome Screen Is Missing

a few days ago my welcome screen was there. yesterday it
disappeard and now when i logon/off i get the classic
logon prompt with a black background.
is there a policy that i have to enable or disable.
oh yeah, this happened after i installed diskeeper 7
server edition but i dont know if that has anything to do
with it.
