Hi all,

My computer is infected by a virus.

Running Norton Anti-virus, up-dated on 23rd August, resulted in the
following message:-

Unable to delete
Windows\System32\wins\DLLHOST.EXE is infected with W32.Welchia.Worm virus

There is no further information as to what to do next.

Can any of you learned gentlemen give me any advice ?
I would be more than grateful.

Basics:-
WindowsXp home edition, single user.

regards,
Don

I had it today. Go to symantec's site and they have a little proggy called
fixwelch.exe that will scan and remove for you.

Joe

Thank you Joe,

Actually, the virus is on a friend's computer and I'm using my computer to
look for a fix.
I've downloaded fixwelch.exe and I will run it on his computer tomorrow.

BTW, I'm running Windows98 and from what I've seen of XP I think I'll stick
with W98 as long as I can.

Regards,
Don
