I am on a small domain (15 winxp pro/win2k WS, 1 win serv2k DC/file share)
and have no problems logging into the domain, my mapped drive is there, and I
can browse the files on that mapped drive, I'm even installing things off it.
The problem is that when I go to My Network Places->Entire Network->MS WIN
Network->Natoffice(the domain) I can't get any further - it says it has "0
objects".
If I open a new explorer, and type \\server into the address, it comes up
fine, I can browse the server, and then it appears in the domain, but no
other computers do. They all disappeared about two weeks ago I think, but it
didn't seem to be causing any problems (as I could still see my mapped drive,
etc), so I ignored it (my bad). I have no idea what I might have done.
Other computers can see all on domain, and they also have "workgroup" listed
in the MS Win Network folder, but I don't. We don't use the Workgroups for
anything, it's all domain based. I get no error messages.
I'm used to linux, so this is quite weird and new for me, and I'm having to
learn Win OS on the fly.
I have rebooted both machines to no effect.
