Hi,
Has anyone seen the following and know a solution...

I can surf the web and I have a mapped network drive that for the
most part works (need to check to be sure it always works). The problem is
when I start "browsing" the network I loose my network connection (I get an
icon in the bottom left saying so and there is no longer an IP address etc.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it ?

Windows XP
Intel 21143 eth. on the motherboard (so XP says)

Geoff.

It could be the remnant of some kind of malware proxy/redirector that is no
longer functioning - either because the "service" is no longer online or
because anti-spyware/anti-virus removed some component of it. Try doing a
winsock repair (google for "winsock fixer") and se if that helps.
