Here Is My Unusual Problem, I Have A Msi Pt880-fsr Running A Northwood 3.2/512/800,
I Am Using A S-ata Maxtor 160gb Hdd I Have Two 80mm Out Take Fans On The Back, One 120mm Out Take Fan On The Side, One Intake ( 80mm) On The Front... Using Win Xp Pro
Now Here Is My Problems... When I Boot I Usually Have My Machine Set Up To Run The Old Windows Classic All Silver Taskbar Etc... Well Quite Often Whn I Boot Up, My Machine Goes All Sluggish, ( And I Mean Like A Tortoise On Crutches Walking On Unset Jelly )... Then Once Windows Loads (after About 5 Minutes Or More) I Notice Ithas Gone Back To The Default Taskbar Blue/green ..yet The Start Menu Stays As Classic... Well I Have Got A Heat Prob, Despite Having More Fans Than An Upcoming Pop Band, I Idle At 45, Under Load Jumps To 60, Then Will Shift Instantaniously From 63-49-59 And Just Bounce In Temp Readings.... But When I Open The Side Panel And Reset The Bios Jumper, Then Boot, It Loads To The Normal Classic Taskbar ..... I Have Tried A Xp Repair, To No Avail... Could This Be A Bios Corruption, A Dying Battery , ... Im Really At A Loss, As I Havent Ever Experienced This Kinda Situation B4... Im Thinking Of Just Changing The Board As This Msi Is Getting Right On My Nervesbut Obviously If I Can Sort It ,that Saves Me Cash, And That Would Make Me Very Happy Indeed, I Have Invested Too Much As It Is... And Still Not Working Properly...
I Used To Have An Ide Hdd As A Slave When I First Loaded Xp , Could This Be The Cause... As Back Then My Dvdrw Wouldnt Burn As It Was Read As A Hdd ..??i Sorted That By Buying A New Dvdrw... Somehow Just Sorted Itself ..
