If you click on this link- http://www.bluelakeproducts.com/new_products.htm
you'll go to a page I just publihed this morning.

The first link (24" Aquarist scissors) displays the correct URL/filename.

But when you click on the Giant forceps link the URL displayed is
http://www.bluelakeproducts.com/forceps_dressing.htm#new. When it should be
only http://www.bluelakeproducts.com/forceps_dressing.htm (Note the extra
characters- #new, after .htm)

And when you click on the Instrument kits link the URL is
http://www.bluelakeproducts.com/instrument _kits.htm. Similar problem. The
URL should be http://www.bluelakeproducts.com/instrument_kits.htm. (Note the
extra characters- %20, after the word instrument)

The links work ok but the extra characters are not part of my file names.
Does anyone know where they're coming from and why? I tried republishing the
files and clearing my browser but it didn't help. By the way, there are no
"blank" spaces in the filenames- I use underscores.

Thanks!

OK, your first problem is that it's got a # in the link, makes the browser
think it's going to a "book mark".
just open your local copy, highlight that link and change it to whatever you
need.
the second one with the %20 is because there's a space in your file name,
you should stay away from having spaces in file names and instead use a - or
a _.
if you have a bunch of file names that contain spaces go to
www.jimcoaddins.com and get a free copy of "space replacer" to make it
painless on yourself.
