Hi
I hope somebody can advise me on this. A couple of weeks
ago i did a check on Windows Update and found there were
4 critical patches to download. I downloaded them fine
then every time i boot up something strange happens.
When you get the black screen that says Windows XP with
the moving bar it flashes blue for just a fraction of a
second. It is not the blue you get with the blue screen
of death but the same shade of blue that the suer
selection screen is, that light blue colour. When I
select the user it will go into Windows XP fine then just
once as it gets into XP it will flash black for just a
fraction of a second. There are no problems but this
anomalous screen feature is bugging me as i'm not sure
why it's doing it. It may be of interest also to know
that i wiped my machine last week so i could partition my
drive to keep my work separate. This strange screen
feature went away after i did that until i installed all
of the Windows Update updates for my machine. It then
started doing it again and does it every time i boot up.
Like i say, there don't seem to be any problems with the
machine and i've ran diagnostics which acn't find
anything wrong. It's just bugging me because it didn't do
it before and i wondered if this was normal and a result
of the last few patches?
