My Windows mail has a weird issue, i am sometimes able to send/recieve emails
but sometimes while sending emails, windows mail asks me for my username and
password..on entering the same, it keeps on asking the same.. i am sure my
username and password is absolutely correct..i believe, i am not too sure..
it happens when i choose wifi connection as a public rather then private..

any help?

Sending from a random Wi-Fi connection can be problematic.
If you do this often, it is best to get a free Gmail account, configure
it for POP access, and do your sending chores from the Gmail account.
If you want, you can change the 'From' address to keep your current identity.

Can anyone help me, please? :)
We have a new computer with Vista and Windows Mail and McAfee <sigh>
1. When I go to Start>Windows mail...the window comes up but says folder
can not be displayed. Low disk space and low memory. I tried to
Tools>Options>Advanced>Maintenance to compact the database on shut down
every 1 runs.....nothing helps.

2. When I go into windows mail I get that dreaded error: PORT O (not
port110) So, I have to click out of email and bring it up and click out
of email and bring it up and....I do this until suddenly it won't give me
the Error PORT 0 message that others have complained about.

3. Also, my folders are not coming up on the left hand side suddenly. I
have to go to LOCAL Folders which opens my list of many folders, then right
click on each individual folder and hit OPEN for the list to fill up on the
left side of my mail window.

4. Also, When I create new message and hit send.....it gets stuck and will
not send. I have to leave email and bring it up again for it to send.

What has possessed my windows email program? My internet connection works
fine.
Thanks for any help at all!

Some of your symptoms are caused by interference from your antivirus
program. If you are running McAfee or Norton antivirus, uninstall them
because they are incompatible with Windows Mail. Once your mail is
working again, download and install the free Avast antivirus, but be
sure to unselect its mail scan option.

The message stuck in the Outbox can be cleared by using WMUtil:

I am having all kinds of problems with Vista mail and everything. I am not
receiving emails. They are going into spam and I can't retrieve them from
spam. And it seems that after 90 days, I have to pay for support which is
crap in my opinion. Does anyone know how to view an email that has been
sentto spam that isn't spam?

Not sure what "going into spam" means.
Do you mean incoming emails all wind up in your Junk E-Mail folder?
Just so we're on the same page, please call things by their actual name
as shown in the program.

You should be able to move messages out of the Junk E-Mail folder.
What have you tried that doesn't work?

McAfee!

It "runs" on Vista but it is *not* compatible with Windows Mail.

After I uninstalled McAfee, I still had to go to the McAfee site and find
their Uninstaller utility.

I've installed Avast4, free version, and disabled email scanning, and all is
good now.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Beside that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
should be uninstalled.
