Weird problem with clock losing time.

I just got a new PC with Vista Premium 64 bit in it been dealing with
strange problem. AMD Phenom Quad Core, 500 GB HDD, 4 GB DDR, etc.. When the
system goes into sleep, hibernate mode, screensaver the clock loses time.
Originally suspected CMOS battery even though system is new stranger things
have happened. Replaced battery. Still does the same thing. Strange thing,
you can shut down the computer leave it set and fire it up time is fine.
Change the settings so screensaver does not come on , does not go sleep or
hibernate time is fine. But if screensaver comes on even if does not sleep
clock loses time. Any thoughts?

Check your Time Zone under Date and Time Properties in Control Panel time
and if necessary also check that 'Automatically adjust clock for daylight
saving changes" has been ticked if this is particular to your country or
state.

Those have already been checked several times. Thanks for suggesting it
though. They are as they are suppose to be. It loses time 10, 20 , 42
minutes at a time depending on how long I leave it in sleep mode or
screensaver mode. But as long as it is "wake" or "shut down" time is
perfect. It is just strange. I have had computers clear back to the Apple
IIc and haven't seen anything like this. I was wondering if this is part of
the Vista bugs I've been hearing about. I have a Toshiba laptop with the
Vista Premium 32 bit and haven't had anything like this.
