I have a laptop running windows xp that is booted up every morning but it
will not print for about 1 - 2 hours after booting up. I have checked the
print spooler and its fine. It affects all users logged onto the pc. I have
logged out and back in within the first hour and still no luck. Is there
something else I should be looking out for that might be taking a long time
to start? Its printing to a network printer - I have tried the 2 that are
installed and it wont let me add anymore.

sorry, I forgot to mention the error - its just the standard 'windows could
not print due to a problem with the printer' etc etc

Tried it all..... I think I might have to rebuild it. I have even done a
system restore to the very beginning and its still not working... strange

Are you printing directly to the network printer or via a server?
Same problem from other workstations?
Are you using a firewall?

Hi.. Its on a network. Printing via a print server. he is the only user
affected and yes we have a firewall. Strangely I have gotten around this by
using IP printing.. not the best solution but it beats a rebuild! Thanks

Yes... we do log on via novell but it all appears fine. I have logged on
with a few accounts and they all experience the same thing
