weird name change

One of the tables in our database holds just surnames and
first names of employees. When adding the name Kylie it
keeps changing to Kyle. Kyli and Kyl are OK but not
the "i" in Kylie. There is no formatting in the field
properties that could account for this. Is this weird or
what?? Thanks mon (Access 97)
 
Go to Tools... Options... and look for the Auto Correct (I forget which tab)
and uncheck it...
 
Sounds like you might have AutoCorrect kicking in. Assuming you're using a
form to input, just set the text box's AutoCorrect property to No.

Do you perhaps have an autocorrect entry for Kylie? Click Tools ->
Autocorrect... and check out the list of corrections.
