Okay--
I have a really weird situation. I have a client who had
been using Windows 98 SE until yesterday. I just
upgraded his machine to XP Pro.
Before the upgrade, he was experiencing a problem where
entire files or portions of files were missing or they
would revert back to where they were on August 18, 2003.
This included emails in his Outlook Express.
Now, after I've upgraded him to XP, he called to tell me
that a whole bunch of emails that he's deleted prior to
August 18th have just shown back up. I took a look at
it, and sure enough, they are all magically back.
The only thing I can think of is either some sort of
special virus that he may have been infected with back in
August, or a problem with his FAT32. I'm at a total loss
with this problem, and I'm hoping that someone has heard
of this or knows what might be going on.
Thank you,
Nick Hardgrove
