I recently reimaged my drive. And I reinstalled Office. I
don't know what I did wrong when setting up Outlook 2000
but I now have a set of folders under Outlook Today-
[personal Folders] which contain the usual folders
(calendar, contacts, inbox, etc.) and are completely empty
and another set under Personal Folders which also contain
the same folders but contains all my old data.

HOWEVER, new messages are placed in the Inbox of the empty
Outlook Today Inbox and I am forced to move them to the
other Inbox with my older messages so they stay together.

I just want ONE set of folders and if I chose "Close
Personal Folders" under the right-click it closes my old
files not the empty one. any idea how to fix that?

thanks

First make sure that your Outlook Today pst is completly empty.
Disconnect your second pst-file (not Outlook Today)
Now rightclick on Outlook Today and choose Properties-> button Advanced.
Look at the filename and goto that location in Explorer.
Close Outlook.
Now delete (or rename) the pst-file you just looked up.
Start Outlook
It will give you an error and prompts you to give the location of the
pst-file
Browse to the location of your second pst-file
When it will also give you a shortcut question answer yes

Good Luck!
