I have several invisible controls on my report. They originally had a top property of .083" which I changed to .07
When I move the controls horizontally and do nothing else, the top property reverts back to .08

Weird !?! Anyone know why ???

You probably have the Snap to Grid property on, and the controls jump
to the nearest grid value. Simply Select all those controls at once
and enter the Top property manually, or set the Snap to Grid off
(Format + Snap to Grid)

In addition, select the control(s) you want to move then hold down the Ctrl
key while you move them. This will turn off the Snap to Grid for that move.
You can also use the items in the format menu to line up and/or size
controls with each other. Another way that is sometimes easier than the
mouse is to select the control(s) you want to move then use the arrow keys
on the keyboard to move it/them. Again, holding down the Ctrl key while you
do this will turn off the Snap to Grid. A combination of the Ctrl key with
the arrow keys makes it VERY easy to slightly nudge a control.
