Hello all,

I am trying to group a subreport on a field named FullName. The field is
in the main fieldlist; it's on the subreport; but it's not in the list on
the grouping dialog box!

Any hints?

I'm down to 4 hairs!

TIA

Jake

Why, yes it is!

I changed it to text and it shows.

Thanks,

And while I'm banging my head on grouping, how do I pass a subreport group
total to main report?

I have this huge sales report that I just want totals from. All the data
is in several subreports that are grouped by sales people. The bean
counters don't care about the data, they just want totals and calculations
on totals.

How do I do this?

TIA

Try a full reference with reports group, main report name, subreport name,
field name containing the variable, and it should display.

Alternately, try using the builder and insert the full reference if it
doesn't show it; i.e.:

Reports!rptMain!rptSub!Control.Value

Yes, you can pass summary results from a subreport to a control displayed on
the main report.
