This is not about ws_ftp, but about my FrontPage web transfer connections. I
can't seem to make the new ws_ftp upload wizard work. I know all the
information I need, my firewall is set for passive and that upload wizard
has full access to the internet.
Three hours is a long time to mess with something like that so I went to My
Network Places to create a shortcut for my website's URL. Took a couple of
minutes and it opened right up. I can walk right in, but I still have no way
to transfer my local files to there. (server does not have FrontPage
extensions).
After I restarted my computer, all of a sudden, I see in Windows Explorer
that Internet Explorer is now an ftp server. I haven't seen that in my five
years managing this web, so I don't know how it happened.
In the browser properties, the Target location is "c:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
Start in: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
Is that correct?
In Help and Support I see how you can do anything, but I don't see how you
can remove a connection like that. I don't know if it happened with WS_FTP
or if it happened with the My Network Places connection.
I'm not going to cross-post, but if I should ask this somewhere else, please
tell me.
