For a while now, I have 3 folders on my C: drive, and I
don't know where they came from. Here are their names :

c:\6cf7355dcdae04cfa14ca196ad
c:\9aa34a60d3a721e
c:\41d123135f557fe18bc68

Each has a subdirectory called SP2, and when I try to
access it, I keep getting the message "Folder... is not
available. Access Denied."

Any ideas on where these came from and if I can get rid of
them?

I'm running a P4 2.4, and it came with Windows XP SP1
installed. All the latest updates have been installed.

Thanks

KL

I have other computers running the same OS (WinXP Pro),
and none have these folders. And all have the latest fixes
and updates.Someone told me they had the same problem, and
had to boot in Command mode (from a CD), delete them and
then run chkNTFS to make sure everything was ok.

I'm guessing it's a bug in the update, and it didn't
delete the folders after installing the updates, because
they're empty. The only funny thing is that there's no way
of getting rid of them, not even in CMD mode. Neways, I'll
try to do it the way I was told, and if I have a problem
you might hear from me again..

Thanks..
