Weird attachment stripping problem

I can send myself a Word attachment from my Yahoo address to my Mindspring
address, serviced by Outlook Express.

My son can send a Word attachment from his Outlook program, at a business
address, to my Yahoo address.

But if he tries to send the same Word attachment to my Mindspring address,
serviced by Outlook Express, the attachment disappears without a trace.

Any suggestions?
