Hi,
I have been using free WebWasher Classic for many years on several
private PCs now. On one PCs it suddenly requests a licensekey, saying
something like "The evaluation period for your comapny has expired.
You can use the program only with a valid licensekey." (as if it would
be a commercial version).

I have tried reinstalling the program (for private usage) but that
didn't help too. Any ideas?

Sounds like you downloaded the wrong version on the download page.
There are two buttons, you should use the one to your left, the one
that's for "WebWasher for home and educational use".

Thanks, but that's not the reason. The Webwasher was working for about
18 months before it started asking for the key. And I downloaded and
installed the "home use" version again, but that didn't help too. I
also searched and cleared the registry and ini-files. Nothing helped.
:-(

BTW: I am now using Outlook with MS Exchange Server, could this be
part of the problem? Very unlikely, isn't it?

Might be. Maybe they think because you're using that software you must
be a business.

Otherwise, sorry I can't help you I guess. I'm using Mozilla.
WebWasher works fine for me and I'm using the current version.

I sure hope you can find out what the problem is.

Here is link to both free versions.....

I would suggest COMPLETELY uninstalling (checking registry for orphans,
etc) and then reinstall.

Best of luck.

Thanks, but I did all that already. There must be some kind of
mechanism inside, which suddenly became active. Maybe it's really the
recent Outlook, Exchange Server installation.

Looks like I am be forced to find and us an illegal license key. :-(

Instead of doing something illegal, you could switch to the Proxomitron:

http://www.proxomitron.info/

or Privoxy:

http://www.privoxy.org/

I've used The Proxomitron and it works very nicely, but haven't tried
Privoxy.

Utter BOLLOCKS! You are not be forced to do anything of the sort - nobody
is holding a gun to your head. If you CHOOSE to use an illegal key, then
that is your CHOICE, for which you alone are wholly and totally
responsible.

You DO have a choice - there are other programs which will do the same
thing as the one you are referring to, as well or possibly better. And
they are free and require no licence key, pirated or otherwise.
