Lately when I click on a link many of the websites open
up in a window about 1 inch square. Not sure what causes
that. Any suggestions?

Hey.... Macaroni. 
Open an instance of IE and stretch it to fill your screen (don't use
"maximize"), then close it making sure it is the last window closed. This
setting *should* be remembered by IE. Another option is to click on the
"Launch IE Browser" shortcut>R-Click>Properties>Run Maximized> Apply>OK Out.
