Website page size

Donna in Idaho

I keep seeing posts re: page sizes on this newsgroup. Have I made my
website pages too wide? Would appreciate feedback on this.

Although, I'm sure some of you at one time or the other have looked at my
website and haven't said anything about the pages being too wide. I've
added some info that people will want to print off, so I want to be sure
they can without a lot of problems.

Hi Donna,
You site looks fine to me - this is the size i used to create my site - i
have a 17 inch LCD & the size of your site fits perfect.

I noticed on your site you have a hit counter - i am having trouble with
this - can you help me out with inserting one onto my site?

The page displays well in various browser widths, from 500px up to
1280 - beyond this the page stretches too much, but most users with
high res screens will use a smaller browser width.

Since it displays well in a small window, there should be no problems
with printing.
 
Your site looks cool, but it's too wide too.

You can't use FP's hit counter unless your server has FP extensions
installed and working (I don't believe it does).

I viewed with Mozilla at 800 X 600 and it looked fine. I printed 1 of
the pattern pages and it printed fine.

Thanks, Tom. Just didn't want anything that wasn't going to be usable for
volunteers to print off.
