The problem is using FrontPage text boxes and possibly other VML
graphics.
VML graphics include WordArt, ShapeArt and Text Boxes.
Avoid using Word Art. Word Art uses VML graphics which can only be
seen in IE5.5 and later running on Windows PCs. A large number of
users (around 25%) do not use IE, those users will see a down-level
poor quality image if you have allowed that option, or nothing at all.
You can make the Word Art in Word, then copy and paste into a graphics
program (Paint is suitable if you are using WindowsXP). Crop and
optimise the image, then save for the web as a .jpg or .gif (use a
..gif if there are less than 256 colours in the image). Import the
image into FrontPage and insert where required.
VML Text boxes
Hyperlinks placed in VML text boxes may not work at all in some
browsers, particularly non-IE, and probably the older versions of IE.
Any text in a VML text box will be included in the down-level image
seen by non-IE browsers, that is if you are allowing down-level images
in Page Options.
FYI, VML graphics are produced by using text-boxes, WordArt, and any
other object produced using the FrontPage drawing toolbar. Due to the
restrictions outlined above VML should never be used in a publicly
accessible web site, but are fine where the browser is restricted to
IE running on Windows.
Additionally, as mentioned in the Apple discussion group, it looks as
if your cat has designed the end of the page by sitting on the space
bar and occasionally hitting the Enter key
The space bar should never be used for layout design, since different
browsers will render a space character with a different size,
depending on how the browser text-size is set.
