Any easy way to uninstall Webshots software once installed? Someone
downloaded it on an office computer (Win XP Professional) and it's slowing
dowsn the works. If no easy uninstall, how do we at least deactivate from
starting up when XP loads? Thx

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ try ad aware form here it's free for "personal"
use

It shows up on my "Remove Programs" on my
XP Pro. Just uninstall it that way.

It also stores stuff in 'my documents' which is easy to
find because it says Webshots Data.

Someone aught to try and sue a few of these companies that offer
something for free, supposedly a little thing, like a skin for an IM
program, & then it proceeds to load all kinds of crap, a toolbar,
spyware out the yin-yang, & whatever else.. What a royal pain in the
butt - there aught to be a law that this kind of sh%t has to have a
huge window open & tell you what it is going to install before it
does, and you can opt out. A free Yahoo skin turns out a kitchen sink
full of crap. Oh yea, as a side thing they actually did include the
skin.

But to answer you, I was surfing yesterday & saw a program that
specifically was designed to remove Webshots. Type into a Google
search field "remove Webshots" and you'll find something. I would not
suggest clicking on the Webshots sight for help, even though they
offer it.
