This is caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

This may be a "Cool Web Search" Spyware affiliate site.
Run the Cool Web Shredder - 'CWShredder'.
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
Ensure that all instances of IE & OE are closed.
Unzip the tool, click on the executable and follow the prompts.

Please report back your results.

Thanks very much, cwshredder did the trick!! All the spyware and
adware programs took forever and did nothing. Of course they want
$30-50 for them too. cwshredder took less than a minute and cured the
problem. What can be done to "punish" the scum that put out these
malicious bots?

Hi John,

Glad the shredder worked for you. I would strongly suggest that you
install either Ad-aware or SpyBot Search & Destroy and run on a regular
basis - just like you would your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.

Get Ad-aware here: http://www.lavsoftusa.com
SpyBot here: http://security.kolla.de (or)
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd

Regards and feel free to post back in a *New Thread* if you please -
