Hello,

I am using FrontPage XP. I have used FrontPage for
years, and I have one three primary webs under the "My
Webs" folder, each with several subwebs.

Today, when I opened FrontPage, instead of opening my
website, it opened right up to the "My Webs" folder.
Now, all my webs are shown as subfolders instead of webs,
and when I try to "Open Web", I can't open any of my
webs. When I click, nothing happens.

When I right-click on the webs in front page, "Convert to
Web" is an option! It seems like the "My Webs" folder
became a web, while all my webs were changed from webs to
regular folders so I can't go in and work on them!

If I "convert to web", I will lose formatting, borders
etc. I never "unconverted" them, so what happened?

Please help. I can't lose my formatting on my 5,000 page
website...

Thanks in advance.

Johann

First do you have a backup, if not you need to make one.

In general the My Web folder is a FP web and any webs below it are subwebs.

I would suggest that you right click on one of the folder "web" with the
smallest number of files, and convert it to a web, then see if it function
correctly. If function correctly then you convert the remaining "web" to
subwebs.

OK, We finally got it.

It wouldn't allow us to convert any webs, instead giving
us an error message regarding subwebs being made since we
last accessed this web, (although we didn't make any).

However, when we changed the FrontPage options to not
load the last web viewed automatically, and manually
opened our website, it popped right up like normal.

PHEW!!

Maybe it's backup day...
