webpage (with frame) display blank

Hi,

My WinXP Pro SP1 laptop with IE6SP1 recently developed
this problem. You can actually see the initial loading of
the frame website but after finished loading, it will turn
to blank.

I had tried another windows logon profile in the same
laptop and it was loading the problem sites correctly. I
tried on another machine it was fine too.

I don't think reinstalling IE will help since another
windows profile in the same machine do not have this
problem. I hate to remove and recreate the profile again
to solve this problem, too much reconfigurations have to
be done again.

Appreciate if anyone can help.

Make sure that your Encoding is set to Auto-Select.
At least for that last site a mix of encoding seems to have been selected.
Western European (Windows) for the Frameset (Alt-V,d)
Western European (ISO) for the frames (F6,menu,E)

BTW that first site uses IFrames so in order to do similar tests
to see if Auto-Select is necessary you would have to use its
View Source (Alt-V,c) or its Privacy Report (Alt-V,v) to find out the
URLs for each individual piece and try to load them in their own
windows. Then you could probably look at their source too and
see what charset is specified in each piece.
