Hi,

I just got a new DELL laptop, with a 17" screen. The little icons on the
task bar are blurry, along with any pictures on any websites. I've tried
every display function with internet explorer and windows.

Please help!

Hi,
First try changing the DPI setting for your display to 96.

Right-click the Windows desktop.
Click Properties.
Click the Settings tab
Click the Advanced button on the Settings tab to display the monitor
properties dialog.
Select a DPI setting in the Display frame of the monitor properties dialog.
Restart the computer.

If unsuccessful with that, see this discussion for other possible solutions:

Hope this helps,

Do you happen to still have the old monitor handy to put it on the computer
and test with? That's where I would start.

Thanks Don! It worked right away! I can see again! lol

Glad that was it as th next thing that could have happened was two verticle
bars (one red and one blue) would appear. Had to send back one that started
out similar last spring. Nice thing was the replacement was on the doorstep
the next morning. But then, Dell builds some just 70 miles south of me and
sends out replacement parts 125 miles north.
