Webpage isn't displaying properly on Explorer but is on Firefox?

My web page is not displaying properly on Microsoft Explorer, but it is on
Firefox. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

It is not possible to say without seeing the site. If you post the URL, I or
another reader here could look at it.

I try to get IE and Firefox to display the same, but it isn't always easy. I
have read that this is because IE doesn't do things according to the book,
and that IE7 will be better behaved, according to the standards - read Kevin
Spencer's recent post.
