I am not sure if thisis where it goes or not.

The problem I hve is that the icon which appears when looking for pages on
the harddrive has disappeared. I have tried to change it and get the icon
back but nothing happens.

Can someone suggest as to how to do this.

Could you clarify that a little ? Perhaps you hit the "Toggle Payne"
button by accident ?

Let me try again.

Whjen you use the windows explorer to view the items in a folder, I did at
one time see the webpages with an explorer icon on the file. Now the only
thing I see is a bblank file with no icon. I have tried to reapply the icons
but that does not work. Could this me a windows problem. I see the icon on
my laptop but not the desktop machine.

I hope this makes it a little more clear.

Download TweakUI from MS and run Repair Icons

Unfortunately I'm a little off tonight I guess. It sounds to me like your
talking about the way that Explorer is displaying your files. Try clicking
"View" "Thumbnails". If no go then I would try is running the Windows XP
System Restore utility (Start, All Programs, System Tools, System Restore)
which should restore certain system setting such as folder views. Keep in
mind that it may also make some recently installed or created files
inaccessible.
