Is there a "webmaster" for this newsgroup. For example,
if there's an error with the way it is working...?
thanks,
bob a

Joan: Thanks for response. That seems a bit cumbersome;
maybe you could send this on:
In the listings of the newsgroups,
under "Security" "Access" is spelled incorrectly. Thus,
you may be getting postings to that group that should be
posted elsewhere; I thought "Acces" was a separate
security thing, rather than MS DB thing: "Microsoft
Acces, Security"

Actually, I'm trying to get them to remove the Access item under Security.
That's the source of so many off-topic postings in this newsgroup. Folks
seem to think it's about 'accessing' their computer.

If someone is looking to ask a question about security in Access, I don't
think they'll have trouble finding it under Office-Access.

Then they'll think it's about how to access their office!!

No, I was referring to the web interface that many use to access the
newsgroups. You can see it at
http://communities2.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

In the newsgroup list at the left, you'd find all the Access newsgroups
under English - Office - Access

Now take a look at what's under English - Security and you'll see my
point.

Ok! I was completely unaware of that web interface. The "Access Security"
option is certainly way misleading, given the other options in that section.

Cheers,
TC
