Hi,

I need to make my Access 2000 database available over the
Web (company intranet).

Also, I need the reports to be displayed on the client
machine as a PDF.

Are these possible?

Do I need Data Access Pages, third-party software,
AccessXP?

Please point me to a step-by-step guide if possible. Are
there turorial on the web that explain how to do this?

Thanks,

Razor

Our software is designed to solve this exact task (well at least the
reporting part of it).

Works with any version of Access and any environment that supports
COM components. Most of our users use "Active Server Pages" or ASP.NET
to design the web site which the users use to run reports. Our product
delivers reports
as "PDF, "RTF", "XLS" or "SNP" formats.

Download our Report Server Evaluation and look at the samples provided.

Users only need a browser and appropriate reader application (Adobe Acrobat
Reader
for PDF etc...)

To do the data-entry portions of your web application you can find numerous
books
on "active server pages" and asp.net. I would stay away from "data access
pages"
(just my opinion). Also if you happen to have SQL Server in house you might
want to
switch your tables over to a better web database, nut lots of people still
use Access on
Intranets.

Let me know if you need any assistance in your eval,
Mark
