Operating system: Vista
Office: 2003
WebDAV client: Microsoft Vista Mini-Redirector 6.00.0xx
WebDAV server: Microsoft IIS 6.0, SSL-enabled
Having an WebDAV folder open (URL:
https://iisdav.testinfra.local/WebDAV/Test.doc )
and double-click on an Office-2003 file.
--> Office starts, but claims, that it cannot open the file (note the
changed / mixed-up URL):
"http://SSL/WebDAV/Test.doc could not be opened"
Clicking on OK leads to:
" \\iisdav.testinfra.local@SSL\WebDAV\Test.doc could not be opened.
.. . ."
Looking in the Server-side logfiles of IIS 6 shows, that Mini-Redirector is
acting (and failing)
despite Office 2003 bringing its own Rosebud client.
- is this an known problem?
- is there an hotfix or SP for this problem?
- is there an workaround?
- How can Rosebud be forced to be used instead of Mini-Redirector?
