What's the deal with the Windows Vista Business for free? I know it's legit
as seen in several other posts, but it's raising a few questions. Are there
any costs (Money) to doing this webcast thing? Are there special time slots
when you can access these webcasts, and how long do they take? How much
participation is required from me besides viewing them and registering? I'm
not very familiar with webcasts, so is there more information any of you can
tell me about? Thanks.

Webcasts are free. 60 to 90 minutes. Navigate to the TechNet site and look
up webcasts to get the details on how these webcasts works.

There have been several a day for years. The archive is a treasure trove of
Windows knowledge. Live webcasts are followed by a survey which you must
complete to remain eligible for a promo (TechNet runs promos all the time)
and there are labs following. You can view these on-demand as well. Check
out the link.

What exactly are these labs? Thanks.

Hands on experience with the software and tasks covered in the webcast. I
am not eligible to go for the freebie because of one of my subscriptions, so
I haven't tried them. Some of the labs are done in virtual machines so you
actually perform server tasks on a running server, not a simulation. Pretty
neat. Just try one and if you can't stand it drop out. Nobody cares but
you. Good luck with it.

LOL. Took too long making up your mind. If this had been a chat room you
might have made it. Should have used IM. :)

Better luck next time...
