webcam

I just bought a webcam for my inlaws. But after I log on to talk to them after about 30 secs I get loud static over the speakers. I can still see them but we can't talk. This happen everytime and the only way to clear it is to log off then back on. But it happens again after 30 secs. Please help.
 
I don't know much about computers. So I hope this is the right answer to your question. I use MSN messenger
 
it may be worth going to the camera maunfacturers website to get the latest drivers, and then uninstalling your current drivers, and re-installing the new ones. If you cant get a new driver, then try just uninstalling and re-installing the current one.
 
Oh, also does the webcam capture the audio, or do you use a seperate microphone for this?
