Webcam - where to get drivers?

Hi, daughter has a webcam..can't get it to work..needs drivers...where to
get correct drivers from?..trouble is there is zero info on the camera -
can't see make model etc....what's the best way to track down suitable
drivers?

As a hardware guy, I'd probably start by using a utility,
to see if I could get any info on the device. But that
is not the best way, just the way I'd start :-)

The best way is to lookup information listed on the camera, or
packaging, or CD.
Sorry.

Since many different cameras have the same shape, it's hard to go by
that. Plus sometimes the picture listed is a different form factor for
the same camera.
