We have a web page on an intranet site that links to an Access MDE
(XP) file. The database is on a local file sever and cannot be placed
elsewhere. Most users have both Access 97 and XP.
A test case of two users: Both have their Windows file types
associated with XP and both users have both versions of Access
available on their PC's. If user "A" clicks the web page link, the
MDE file opens with XP, which is good. User "B" is not so lucky. His
PC tries to use A97 to open the MDE, and it fails. We have double
checked B's file association and it is definitely Access XP. Any help
would be appreciated.
