when I log onto the Internet, the browser fills the
screen but my home page and several web sites only fill
about 75% of available space. My old computer with
Windows 98 never did this with the same ISP.

Move your cursor to the edge of the screen you do have
till you get a little double arrow. Click and drag the
screen out. It should stay after you reboot .

Could your screen resolution be higher with your new
computer?

You could be running in 1024x768 resolution on your new
machine and on your old only in 800x600. That could be
why some websites don't seem to fill as much of the screen
as before, even though your browser is maximized.

If that's the case, it's becuase of the way those
particular websites are designed and not something wrong
with your machine.

The same has happened to me. I noticed it especially in
MSN and Yahoo. Please let me know if you solve the
problem.
