Hi
I published a web. Used it for six months. This week I
published another different web to the same site. Its a
work in progress. I then re-published my original web
while I continue to work on the new one BUT....
When publishing the old web again it shows some of the
page references to the new site on the menu bar. I now
have a menu bar with a combined lot of web page menus. In
preview it still looks fine but when published it shows
the extra page menus.

What am I doing wrong?

Best to delete the old web and republish the new web (Publish All)
To delete the old web Open it using File Open Web http://www.yourdomain.com/
Make sure you have _hidden folder on (Tools Web Settings Advanced - show hidden folders
Then delete all files and folder (except the empty _private and images folders)
and close the web, then publish your new web

Saw this response. When doing this in FP will it prevent you from
accidently deleting your FP extensions like you could with a FTP program?

Yes, however make sure you have enabled view of hidden directories on the
live site, so that you delete them as well.

Note: DO NOT delete the images or _private folder, just the content that
within them.
