I update my site twice a month. This last time the
uploading was interrupted when my served automtically cut
off my connection to the web. Two things happened. My
site on the web is now only 90% complete. Also, the web
page on my machine has been com;etely deleted. 1. What
happened? 2. How can I prevent it from happening again?
3. Can I download from my page on the web to re-place it
on the web page on my home machine? (This would save me
one or two weeks work.) 4. Can I upload a single page
from my computer to the page on my web site with the same
title? I am really unsopisticated. If you can help, it
would help if you respond directly to my my email address
in stead of posting it on the newsgroup. Help! Paul

It's hard to say from the information you've given.
Something stalled or timed out.
2. How can I prevent it from happening again?

It's hard to say from the information you've given. If you
Web is getting large (as in hundreds of pages), consider
breaking it into subsebs.
3. Can I download from my page on the web to re-place it

Sure. Just:

1. Open the remote Web site in FrontPage.
2. Right-click the file you want to transfer.
3. Choose Publish Selected Files from the shortcut menu.
4. Specify the location of your local Web site.
4. Can I upload a single page from my computer to the

Sure. Just:

3. Choose Publish Selected Files from the shortcut menu.
4. Specify the location of your remote Web site.

You can download what you have online by doing the
following:

1. File > Import > From Web
2. In the location field, type the URL of your site &
click "next"
3. Uncheck any limitations that are already selected &
click "next"

That should do it!

PS
also find and delete your web cache files (hidden known system files *.web) since they are corrupted by the publishing abort
