I have a bug on my computer that I can not seem to locate
even with virus software. For several public websites
such as Hollywood.com, I am constantly getting redirected
to this web site "http://209.47.15.67/int/set?type=120-
600" I have no idea how to stop this. It seems like it
is either being redirected because the page takes to long
or when there is an error on the page, but it doesn't stay
on the original page long enough for me to be able to
debug the problem. Any ideas would be helpful.

You browser has probably been hijacked which while inconvenient is not something that
a virus scan program would detect. You need to ad a parasite scan and removal tool to
your arsenal. SpyBot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware are two popular ones. See the
link below for details on parasites. the links to the programs I mentioned, and other
tips. Be sure that the program you use is also up to date. --- Steve

nothing.

As Steven said, get Ad-Aware (I think the address is www.lavasoft.de) and
run it. It's free and will probably clear up the problem.

Also look for a file named "hosts" somewhere under "system32" or "drivers".
It is a list of URLs and IP numbers. By default it should be blank (i.e.,
only comment lines). Try renaming the file (to keep it from having any
effect).

Hi Michael. FYI as per your suggestion on hosts file, SpyBot can be run in
advanced mode to show you your hosts file along with startup programs, BHOs,
processes, and more. --- Steve

In addition to your browser possibling being hjacked,
their is the possiblity of it being spoofed (ie: you try
to goto your bank's site and it's a hackers site that just
spoofed the bank's website), for more info goto:
www.securitynewsportal.com they should have an article as
well as on online test...
