web server timing out

HELP! I've been using Frontpage 98 for sometime now....with no problems.
I've had a site with IPowerWeb for over 3 years and update my site weekly.
This past month I'm beginning to have problems uploading my site changes. I
keep getting an error saying that the web server has timed out. I've talked
with thier tech support and they say I just need a faster connection....who
doesn't! I've used dial-up for many years with no problems...now I cannot
upload any changes.
HELP!

While there is no limit to the number of files., or total size of
website, that *FrontPage* can manage, some systems do have limits,
especially web servers that impose time limitations on processing web
requests. This will include the "Recalculate Hyperlinks" command
(seen as "Processing Web Updates") on the server that automatically
follows every publish, and other requests will be affected by the
connection speed - how long does it take to send a directory list from
server to PC, or the other way?

It is possible that your web is now too big for the server/connection
combination.
It would be a good idea to break the web into subwebs, where each
subweb can be published individually, and thus considerably reduce the
processing load on the server and connection.

Note that since a subweb is an independent web, you will have to
create and apply navigation, themes, include files, shared borders, or
DWTs (FP2003) for each subweb.

How does one break the website into subwebs? Would using a faster connection
like DSL work better?

Move relevant pages and associated media to a folder, and right click that folder to convert to web
- the subweb is a stand alone web so you may need to create its nav, etc after double clicking the new web folder to open it

OK...
Since it doesn't seem like that is available, what next? I'm at a loss.
I've gone in and deleted some old files and irrelevant pages, but still can't
upload. What I don't understand is that I have never has any problems (for 3
years) with IPower Web hosting and now am?? I haven't increased the
website's size...just changed the HTML content.
