Hi, Could anybody tell me if it is possible to put a web server behind a
router, say putting it's internal number via DMZ or route for example.

Thanks,

Orline

Yes, you can do that just forward port 80 and/or 443 plus any others you
need. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the DMZ (at least, not without a
firewall) as it will expose it to the internet.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.
In case I put this server behind the router, it will have a, say,
192.168.xxx.yyy address, depending my DMZ IP address (in all cases it will
be static one).
So, I guess I have to choose it before installing my Windows Server, so I,ll
be able to give the address to the system (it could be changed later I think
anyways ...)
So, in a case the router is connected to an ADSL or Cable modem, my external
IP address ( which people will compose for web page ) will be translated to
the internal DMZ address. Should I have to put anywhere in Server system the
real external IP address ?

Thank you in advance,

Orline
