Web search tab design/layout

I have added the search form in my web page but I cant find any options for
changing the design of the button/tab in the web search form. I have the 2003
version. Does anybody know if its possible to change the layout?
 
The button (and input tag) is server side generated
- all you can do is apply a style sheet to the page with css style for the input tag
