Web Pages stuck on old dates

I'm using IE6 on XP. My home page is stuck on a date about a month
old, now some other pages are getting stuck on older dates. When I try
to post to usenet, my newsreader retruns an error that has text
referencing "old date". I tried clearing the history with no success,
anybody have any guidance..... thanks

Hi,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Temporary
Internet Files> Delete files (and delete offline content when that dialog
pops up) And set the size of the TIF folder to about 50 MB (Settings.)

Then, under Internet Options> General> Browsing History> Settings> Check for
newer versions , select something other than Automatically or Never.
"Automatically" can, at times, be problematic.

Hope this helps,
Don

Did as noted below then remembered my dialup accelerator uses temp
files and clearing that also got me out of the time warp. What causes
this problem? Also I'm still getting the "Too Old Date" failure when
I use my news reader so I"m posting this through Google. Any idea what
the problem is with my news reader. Thanks for your help

Hi,
I suppose the accelerator could also have caused this newsgroup problem. I
would try resetting a newsgroup or two. See if that helps. Your computer's
date, time and time zone are correct?
