web pages not showing right

Some web sites I visit don't show the page properly. I've deleted cookies
and temp internet files but they haven't changed. For example, on this site
I have to shrink where all the subject are so I can see everything on the
page. Also on American Express Canada I have to use the tab and enter keys
to get to the password box and login button because they aren't showing right
and I can't use the mouse to click on them (I was at a friend's house and
checked and their's was working ok). How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi,
Try a different resolution (screen size.) For Windows XP go to Start>
Settings> Control Panel> Display> Settings> Screen Resolution. If you're
using 800 x 600 try 1024 x 768. Some sites are designed to look right on a
larger screen. The page which provides web access to the Microsoft
newsgroups is definitely easier for me to use at 1024 x 768 on a 17" monitor
than at 800 x 600 on a 15" monitor.

Sometimes using Full Screen mode in IE (hit the F11 key) will help with
these sites.

Hope this helps,
Don

My screen resolution is set to 1024x768 on a Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop and
I've tried using full screen, it didn't help. This is something that just
happened with the American Express site but I've always had problems with
these newgroups not fitting on the page and having no way to move over to see
what's on the end except to make the topics panel smaller.

Yes that is the American Express site. When I bring it up in IE the login
box, password etc are below the picture not to the side like it is when I use
Firefox and I can only access the password or login button by using the tab
key to move down to them, I cannot click in the with the mouse.

Hi,
I'm still not sure that what you're seeing when you access the Microsoft
newsgroups via Internet Explorer indicates a problem. I rearrange that page
so that I can see everything.

Is this the American Express site?

OK. I think I'm seeing the AmEx site the same way you are with IE6 SP1.
What's your version of Internet Explorer? IE> Help> About... Example
6.0.2800.1106. It may just be a problem with the rendering of CSS in IE6
SP1. The site looks fine with IE7 Beta and IE6 XP SP2.
